Bonnaroo silent disco – Day 2

Day 2 (Friday) of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival silent disco will see the lineup grow from four DJs to seven, and it will run three additional hours into the early morning on Saturday.

New York-based DJ and producer Le Chev will lead things off with a set beginning at 4:00 PM. His DJ sets feature a healthy dose of club music to get the crowd moving. On the production side, he boasts a remix catalogue that includes work with REM, Blondie, and Passion Pit. Le Chev has also worked as a composer, putting together music for the likes of Hugo Boss and Gucci.

Three artists who were invited to take part in the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp at Bonnaroo this year will also perform an hour-long set each in the silent disco tent. As described on the Bonnaroo website:

Bonnaroo and Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) are excited to announce a 5-year partnership to bring RBMA Bass Camp and an after-hours RBMA Stage to the festival grounds through 2018….RBMA Bass Camp is a smaller incarnation of the Red Bull Music Academy workshop and festival series that travels the globe annually offering artists a haven to create, collaborate and celebrate music. By day, the RBMA Bass Camp at Bonnaroo invites 20 handpicked artists to participate in daily workshops and hear lectures from prominent members of the music community discussing their experiences and process. Specially designed recordings studios offer Bass Camp participants the opportunity to record new music throughout Bonnaroo weekend, giving them a chance to collaborate with and get advice from top past RBMA lecturers.

RBME Bass Camp artist Funkss will be up first, kicking off at 6:00 PM. Check out his SoundCloud page to hear samples of his work.

“Visual Artist, Synth Maker, Tech Enthusiast, Musician” Flcon Fcker will then take his spot at the tables at 7:00 PM. He was tabbed by the Houston Press Music Awards as the Best Electronic Act in 2012, and Free Press Houston proclaimed “this guy will eat your lunch with his mastery of all things synth and electronic.”

The third and final RBMA Bass Camp performer will be Orion, who will begin at 8:00 PM. Listen to some of Orion’s remixes on his SoundCloud page.

Tiki Disco, comprised of Eli Escobar, Andy Pry, and Lloydski, will occupy the spotlight starting at 9:00 PM. Tiki Disco is “an NYC-based event focused on ‘music for people who like music for people'” that began as a bi-weekly outdoor summer event. It has since become a “year-round happening.”

DJ Logic returns to the silent disco at midnight for round two, after having also performed a set on Day 1.

Bringing the night to an end will be Jared Dietch, whose set will begin at 2:30 AM. Dietch has more than 20 years of experience working for a variety of clients. He’s produced tracks for the likes of Sony and BMG and for brands such as Ferrari and Hugo Boss. His work behind the turntables has taken him around the world with Deadmau5 and Erick Morillo. We have worked with Dietch previously at the Bonnaroo silent disco, and we look forward to the beats he will be providing to party goers looking to extend their nights into the next morning.
